Village Of Somers, WI - Head-On Crash Leaves One Dead on CH E near Wood Rd

Village Of Somers, WI (October 7, 2025) – A tragic two-vehicle crash Sunday night claimed one life and left another severely injured near the 3400 block of County Highway E, near Wood Road. According to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office, the head-on collision occurred around 6:30 p.m. on October 5.

Authorities reported that a pickup truck traveling eastbound on County Highway E appeared to cross the centerline and struck an SUV head-on. The impact caused severe damage to both vehicles. Emergency responders extricated the SUV driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. Both vehicles were occupied solely by the drivers.

The sheriff’s office indicated that alcohol and/or drugs may have been a factor in the crash. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision to determine the full sequence of events.

This tragic incident highlights the devastating consequences of head-on collisions, which are among the most dangerous types of vehicle crashes. Head-on crashes often occur suddenly and with little warning, leaving drivers and passengers with minimal time to react.

Our deepest condolences go out to the family, friends, and loved ones of the deceased victim.
